US PRESIDENT Trump has pledged to give Iran a beating after it fired ballistic missiles at American bases in Jordan.
The US and Saudi Arabia struck ‘multiple “terrorist” logistics and weapon sites across Eastern Iraq’ belonging to a militia known as the Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF).
The strikes were the first major US military action since last Friday, when Trump abruptly suspended an intensive bombing campaign after 13 days, having been advised that the tactic had run its course.
Trump insisted that: ‘We will be hitting them hard. They are going to get a beating.’
After Trump’s comments oil prices jumped, with Brent crude rising 5.8% to $86.82 a barrel.
Adding to the tensions in the region, Houthi rebels are said to be considering putting fees on ships passing through the Red Sea!
Netanyahu, the Israeli PM met Trump in Washington on Tuesday to discuss their next moves in the developing conflict, including continuing with the blockades and air strikes.
Meanwhile, the UK trade unions in the TUC are silent just watching the destruction of thousands of people, the destruction of homes and the mass arrests of health workers, journalists and civilians.
It is urgent now for the TUC to call a halt to these brutal attacks. The imperialists are going all-out to destroy both the Palestinian and Iranian revolutions. The people of the world must come to the defence of these revolutions now!
The TUC must be forced to call a Special Congress to discuss and decide on taking industrial and political mass action in support of the Arab peoples struggle for liberation.
Delegations should be invited from all of the Arab states and also from Russia, China and Eastern Europe.
Then the enormous strength of the international trade union movement must be used to bring down the major imperialist governments of the US, UK and EU, to go forward to an International Union of Workers States that will bring in a worldwide planned socialist economy based on the principle of ‘from each according to their ability to each according to their needs’.
All over the world the class struggle between the bosses and the international working class is sharpening to the point of revolutionary explosions.
The situation in the UK, the US and the EU is sharpening rapidly with both working class youth and trade unions coming under vicious attacks, and are fighting back.
It is clear capitalism has had its day and now the working class must replace it with a planned socialist worldwide economy.
To lead this decisive struggle, it is urgent to build sections of the International Committee of the Fourth International in every country to mobilise the masses of workers and youth to carry out the World Socialist Revolution.
Capitalism is today in its biggest crisis ever. Its economies are bankrupt and the ruling class is desperately fighting to exist by carrying out wars to recolonise the wealthy parts of the world to grab the rich resources for themselves.
The only future for capitalism today is more wars, more destruction and more poverty against the working class and youth.
Now is the time to mobilise thousands of workers and youth in the Workers Revolutionary Party to lead the British socialist revolution to carry out the smashing of world capitalism and the organisation of the World Socialist Republic! Forward to the victory of the World Socialist Revolution!
