May Appeals To The People As The Eu Insists There Can Be No Renegotiation Of Her Perfidious Betrayal Of Brexit!

A DESPERATE Prime Minister May has written a letter to the nation asking the people of the UK for their support to pressurise a majority of MPs to support her capitulation to the EU, on the basis that a bad deal is now better than no deal.

She writes that: ‘On 29 March next year, the United Kingdom will leave the European Union. We will then begin a new chapter in our national life. I want that to be a moment of renewal and reconciliation for our whole country. . . ‘It must mark the point when we put aside the labels of “Leave” and “Remain” for good and we come together again as one people.’

In fact she has sown the seeds of a civil war in the UK with her acceptance of the Customs Union and the powers of the European Court of Justice that goes with it. The EU leadership yesterday confirmed that the deal cannot be renegotiated, so it is to be life imprisonment for the UK, now a ‘vassal state’ of the EU.

May is hoping to win over enough Labour MPs with her agreement to remain in the Customs Union to see off the DUP, Tory rebels and the SNP to win the day, a tactic that if it is successful will split the Labour Party into the bargain.

Labour’s right wing having said ‘A’ will then have to say ‘B’ and break up the Labour Party to form a National Government with the Tories that will be in all-out conflict with the working class from Day One of its inception.

If the May government is defeated, the next step will be to seek to withdraw Article 50, to allow the UK to get down even further on its knees to the EU and plead with it for a scrapping of the deal and a humiliating readmission.

Or as an alternative to call a second referendum, one that the champions of the EU could not afford to lose. It is no accident that the completely discredited ex-Labour leader, Tony Blair, who has the blood of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis on his hands, has emerged to insist that there must be a second referendum.

He is the politician who insisted that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and was determined to go to war. He would no doubt display all of his talents in the course of a second referendum, in which the pro-EU fighters would be determined to avoid a second defeat by all means necessary to avoid a further humiliation.

The stalemate in the House of Commons has now seen May appeal for the support of the people in her special letter. Those who seek to see that the 2016 referendum result is carried have also got the right to appeal to the nation and to call the millions of the working class out onto the streets to campaign and battle for it. This is why a revolutionary collision between the working class and the different factions of the ruling class is now well on the way.

In the 17th century the revolutionary army of Oliver Cromwell fighting against a feudal order of society purged and shut down parliaments, abolishing the House of Lords so that a bourgeois society could see the light of day. His is not a bad example to follow. In fact, it has now been proven, through the extraordinarily strung-out Brexit negotiations, that the only way to get out of the EU is to ‘Leave it’ and put parliament right as to who is the master of the house.

Attempts by the ruling class to foil the will of the people as expressed in the 2016 referendum will be met by millions taking to the streets and engaging in a social revolution to get the UK out of the EU. The bosses claim that this will lead to a disaster for capitalism which is already heading for a 2008-type collapse. The way to tackle this threat is for a workers government to expropriate the bosses and bankers in the UK through a socialist revolution.

There is no doubt that such a leap will be welcomed by the working class of the EU.

The French workers are currently battling for their rights against President Macron and the EU on the streets of all the major cities.

The Italian government has refused to dump its budget and the European Commission is now threatening massive fines. Greece has suffered under the EU for a decade!

Britain leaving the EU and carrying out a socialist revolution to do so, will encourage the workers of Europe to overthrow the EU and go forward to the Socialist United States of Europe!
