AMERICAN sailors on the USS Abraham Lincoln, sent to the Middle East to make war on the Iranian people have mutinied, with some attempting to jump overboard, in what is being termed by the US authorities as a mental health crisis caused by their ninth months at sea.

Annabelle Loma, the wife of a sailor serving on the ship told the Military Times that her husband was ‘now on medical hold after trying to jump from the carrier’.

She said: ‘He’s scared. He thinks he is going to get a dishonourable discharge’ and ‘just because he was burnt out, his 13-year career is ruined, just like that!’

Maria Rodriguez said that her husband prevented another sailor from jumping overboard, thwarting a suicide attempt.

‘Another spouse, one of 200 who met Navy leaders in Dan Diego to discuss their concerns, said that her husband had texted her saying ‘he hopes that he does not wake up tomorrow’.

The Iranian embassy in Tunisia wrote on X: ‘OMG (Oh My God) unbelievable. This what Trump is feeding his soldiers on to open the Strait of Hormuz.’

When asked why milk was unavailable, a sailor explained that supply chains cannot keep perishables fresh long enough for transit, noting that food often arrives rotten.

‘This deployment is the worst one, and I pray that no other boat goes through the same’, he added.

It is clear that Trump’s unplanned war on Iran is a disaster.

It is not only deepening the oil crisis for most of the world’s economies but it is unable to have any care or concern for its own troops.

With US troops on the brink of mutiny, now is the time for the working class in the UK, Europe and the US to push forward and hit imperialism when it is at its weakest.

Workers everywhere are bearing the brunt of this crisis of world imperialism with soaring prices and major cuts in living standards.

In Britain, the TUC must be made to call a general strike at its coming Congress to bring down the Labour government, this pro-capitalist government, and bring an end to years of austerity and poverty.

It also means that the TUC must encourage the US and the EU labour movements to organise mass action to bring down their imperialist regimes and to bring in workers governments.

Now is not the time to hesitate or vacillate. World capitalism is in a desperate crisis and is in fact in its death agony.

We must end the enormous destruction, the mass bombings and the poverty and starvation that world imperialism is forcing onto millions in Gaza, Lebanon, Cuba and many countries today.

This agony must be brought to an end by bringing down bankrupt imperialism that is driven to hopeless wars to try and recolonise the world to save their ailing economies.

The world working class must march forward together to defeat imperialism.

In the United States, the US labour movement is ready for action. In the EU and the UK workers are also on the march.

Capitalism is in its death agony, and is going nowhere except into the dustbin of history.

The working class must take the power and establish a worldwide socialist society. This is the only way to take mankind forward and provide a future for generations of youth that have nothing to look forward to under capitalism.

There is therefore not moment to lose. Build sections the International Committee of the Fourth International in every country to organise and lead the working class in this great struggle and to victory.

The productive forces have developed to the point that only a nationalised and planned socialist economy can use them for the benefit of human kind, and not for ever more destructive imperialist wars!

Forward to the victory of the World Socialist Revolution!
