‘PALESTINE in its entirety must be handed back to the Palestinians, from the River to the Sea,’ Rasa Maxim spokesperson for IHRC said yesterday before the mass march for Palestine on Al Quds Day (Jerusalem Day).

The annual march took place in the wake of the massacre in Gaza where 135 Palestinians have been shot dead by Israeli snipers. Speaking as the march assembled outside the Saudi Embassy in central London Maxim continued: ‘We stand with the Palestinians and the right of all Palestinians to return to their land. People of all religions must be able to live and work together under one state Palestine.

‘We assembled outside the Saudi Embassy to protest at the formal links between Israel and the Saudis.

‘We demand the links are broken and we call for a boycott of Israel in its entirety and for full support for the Palestinian cause and to assist in any way possible.’

Rami al-Tartour told News Line: ‘I am a Palestinian from Gaza and I joined this demonstration against the cooperation between Saudi and Israel. ‘We are so angry that the British rulers give weapons to Israel which they use in Gaza and all of Palestine.

‘We are angry at the British government’s silence over the massacre in Gaza. ‘This Conservative government supports Israel. In this country we need to take action for the British government to apologise for the Balfour Declaration.’
