MUSA Ibrahim, spokesman for Colonel Gadaffi, gave an interview to the Syria-based Al-Ra’y TV on the evening of September 18.

He said: ‘We are still in Libya continuing the plan for Jihad, resistance and standing steadfast against this vicious, dirty war against our Arab, Muslim people.

‘The crusader NATO alliance is still bombing our unadulterated neighbourhoods and our homes. It is bombing safe homes, families and Libyan citizens unrelentingly and without any moral compass whatsoever. It is killing hundreds on a daily basis without the world batting an eyelid. The world has lost its conscience, lost its heart and remains without any civilized stance at all in the light of this conspiracy that Libya is facing.

‘In Sirte, the NATO-Qatari-Emirati warplanes are still bombing and paving the way for the NATO rebels to break into this unadulterated city and vanquish its valiant resistance. The same in Bani Wali, the crusader Qatari-Emirati warplanes are still flying over, providing a qualitative air cover to the NATO rebels so they can advance in the hills and valleys of Bani Walid. It is the same in Fazzan.

‘We are fighting the most aggressive of evil forces. They are striking at us by warships at sea and dropping bombs at us from above. They are launching missiles and using the latest satellite and photography technologies. However, grace to God, we are daily capable of achieving qualitative victories across all fronts against the NATO rebels and NATO itself.

‘In Bani Walid, the heroic mujahideen have managed to vanquish the NATO gangs and purge most of the city’s suburbs. Now the terrorist gangs’ rebels are outside the city in Wadi Dinar, preparing perhaps for another attack. They, themselves, have announced what they dubbed a “tactical retreat” from the city. Of course, I would like to warmly and kindly greet and embrace all volunteers from Tarhunah and Zlitan who joined forces with their brothers and fought off those gangs.

‘I would also like to greet the mujahideen in Al-Zawiyah, Al-Ujaylat and in Sibratah who carried out qualitative operations against the gangs to the south of those cities. I would also like to greet other tribes. It is not appropriate to name them now but we are praying to God that those jihadi operations would evolve to destroy the last remaining forces of the NATO gangs.

‘In Sirte, we are dealing with a vicious offensive, the vehicles offered by the agent state of Qatar and the faltering state of UAE which is in complete collusion with the crusaders.

‘Of course, here, I am talking about governments and ruling institutions and not the people of Qatar and the UAE. Those are Arab, Muslim people who are dear to our hearts and we honestly love them. Of course, we are talking about states as authorities and ruling institutions. Those governments offered high-level logistical support to the NATO rebels to break into Sirte. Those do not have any morals. They have bombed the city both from the air and from the ground. Missiles fell on neighbourhoods and homes.

‘I contacted various international parties and organisations, I talked with international news agencies and asked them to seek out the truth and reveal the killing of civilians.

‘They are falling in the hundreds on a daily basis, in the hundreds, here I am saying it again. Those are horrible numbers, unacceptable by any human mind let alone the mind of an Arab Muslim who has a civilized, moral compass forbidding him from accepting such crimes.

‘Despite this, our people in Sirte are steadfast. They are fighting in this blessed jihad. They have managed to destroy a number of vehicles. They also repelled attacks attempting to break into the city on several fronts. May God reward them with steadfastness in their jihad. I will call you when I have accurate information about the number of destroyed vehicles and casualties within the ranks of the NATO rebels as I always seek accuracy and do not report statistics or numbers until they are checked, God willing.

‘In Fazzan, south of Libya, and its capital Sabha i.e. the largest city in southern Libya, our capital is Tripoli and the symbol of our steadfastness is now Sirte. Sabha, however, is the largest city in the south and our mujahideen forces managed to fight off NATO rebels advancing towards the city. They inflicted heavy casualties and forced them to stop at a very long distance from the valiant city of Sabha.

‘On this occasion, I would like to greet the fighting tribes of Sabha and I ask them to remain patient and steadfast. This situation requires men. It is a stance of honour and dignity. Only those who have lost their honour and dignity would abandon their duty. Those who fight have the blood of jihad and honour running in their veins. Therefore, I greet the mujahideen of Sabha families and its tribes. Curse be on cowards who believe that they are saving their lives by abandoning their duties.

‘We know that fates have been predetermined. God chooses martyrs. Not everyone can become a martyr, not every family can become that of a martyr and not every father can be that of a martyr. Those are God’s choices awarded to those he loves best.

‘Brother Mizhir, we are still certain of victory. We would like to ask the world and all Libyans not to surrender to the gangs. Do not celebrate with them, do not agree with them, do not run with their ideas and do not provide them with any legitimacy, because we are coming back and we are coming back with force. We will liberate Tripoli and all remaining captive cities. We will bring to Libya its real revolutionary facet back: the facet of dignity, the facet of Arabism and the facet of Islam.

‘With our return, should God allow it, we will preserve Algeria, we will preserve Egypt, we will preserve Tunisia, we will preserve Syria and Saudi Arabia so that Libya would become the graveyard of the Western colonialist plan in North Africa and in the Arab World as a whole. Yes, brother Mizhir.’

At this point the interviewer asked: ‘Dr Musa, we have information about a failed airborne drop in Bani Walid yesterday September 17. The Libyan forces, along with the volunteer fighters of the Wurfallah tribe, managed to foil this attempt and capture 13 mercenaries. How true is this information and what about the nationalities of those mercenaries fighting with the NATO agents?’

Ibrahim responded: ‘This information is very accurate. When the NATO gangs were pushed back and their performance greatly weakened, the mercenaries advanced. They were exceptionally supported by the statelet of Qatar. They attempted an airborne drop to the rear front of Bani Walid but they failed miserably. They were captured.

‘The brothers informed me that there were 17 and not 13 mercenaries. Some are technical experts whose mission is to guide gangs to their targets, others are some officers acting as consultants as well as some soldiers. The 17-man group is small in numbers but it is a qualitative unit. They are high-grade officers as well as technicians who are experts in weapons and military manoeuvres. Glory be to those men who captured those mercenaries.

‘But this is not the first time we capture mercenaries, there are others who were captured in Sirte. Other groups in the suburbs of Tripoli were exterminated and not captured. I name for example one in Qasr Bin Ghashir, another group was wiped out near Janzur to the west of Tripoli, and another group of Qataris and Emiratis were exterminated in fierce combat in the Tourist Area to the west of Tripoli as well.

‘Therefore, it is evident that the NATO rebels are the ones using mercenaries. They brought in the French, the British, the Italians, the Spaniards, the Americans and the Jews to Libya after the country was liberated from them for more than four decades. They were the ones who brought the mercenaries in.

‘Listen brother Mizhir, I would like your viewers to take note of the facts. They are hurtful facts but also funny ones. How so?

‘1, All charges, which we were wrongly accused of, have now flipped against them: They said we bombed residential neighbourhoods using warplanes. Now, it has been proved to everyone that this has never happened as acknowledged by all international newspapers and analysts. The only places our warplanes bombed, in the early days of the conspiracy, were arsenals on the outskirts of cities so that we could keep the gangs from acquiring ammunition. On the other hand, they are the ones bombing residential neighbourhoods. They have acknowledged this. They bombed Tripoli, Al-Zawiyah, Al-Khums, Zlitan, Sirte, Sabha, Bani Walid and killed families in their thousands. This is the first lie they told about us, while they were the ones to have really done it.

‘2, Mercenaries: They said we brought in thousands of African mercenaries to kill our own people. They could not prove it. Moreover, the Americans and the French acknowledged, in Algeria, that they do not have any evidence of Libya’s use of mercenaries. Meanwhile, they were the ones to have brought in the NATO mercenaries, the Qataris, the Emiratis, the French and the Italians etc. This is the second lie which has flipped against them.

‘3, They said we killed thousands of peaceful civilians. Some even said we killed 10,000 civilians in just one week from 15 February to 21 or 22 February. Of course, after all these months, they could not prove any of this. Meanwhile, they are committing massacres, killing children, women and men in their thousands.

‘All lies they told about us were proved to be lies and falsities. It is as if God wants to shame them and shame the Arab pseudo-journalists, Arab pseudo-elites and the phantoms of the literate people who joined this conspiracy without even visiting Libya to make sure of the news themselves. We were extremely wronged. We were the victims of an unprecedented media, military, intelligence and diplomatic conspiracy that was not even woven against the Soviet Union.

‘Despite this, we stood fast for nine months and we will remain steadfast for nine centuries God willing. We will regain Libya in a short while.

‘Brother Mizhir, I see resolve in the eyes of mujahideen. Those are your sons, Libyans. By God, when I meet them on the fronts, I was on the Sirte front, then I went to Bani Walid and then I visited some great brothers in southern Tripoli. By God, I have seen persistence, nobleness, jihad and the will to fight in their eyes. I have felt their hearts beating with the love of Libya and the love of the leader Muammar Gadaffi, the love of glory and the love of dignity. By God, when I saw and felt all of this, I was certain of victory. I was certain of victory for I did not find this spirit in a particular place of Libya or a particular tribe. I found it in the eyes of the tribes of Zlitan, Tarhunah, Tripolitania, Wurfallah, Maqarha, Qadhadhfas, Al-Ujaylat, in the eyes of our honourable people in different places of the Western Mountain.

‘I was certain that a people with eyes brimming with jihad, and hearts beating with righteousness, cannot be beaten even if the war lasts for years. . .

‘My main message to all brothers is that I am travelling from one front to another, from one city to another. I am visiting the volunteer fighters and meeting the officers leading the operations.

‘Moreover, I am repeatedly meeting tribal elders and community leaders. I am also meeting a lot of youth and women representatives as well as some trade and economy representatives.

‘All those various mujahideen ask the Libyan people, across all violated Libyan cities, not to give any legitimacy to NATO rebels. Our brothers in the violated cities, who are not capable of bearing weapons for certain reasons, are required to stay at home and do the least possible daily activities.

‘They should not join those gangs, nor congregate with them in mosques and squares. They should not cooperate with them at all. We have seen this example in places like Zlitan, Tarhunah or in many neighbourhoods in Tripoli.

‘The message is to de-legitimise the NATO rebels and stand fast with us free Libyans. We are working diligently in deserts, mountains and valleys. The least you can do is to support us in your hearts, pray for our victory, and de-legitimise the gangs. Do not support them, do not stand with them and do not cooperate with them, until the day of imminent victory beckons and we safely enter Tripoli and liberate all other cities, praising the name of God.’
