A DELEGATION of locked-out Gate Gourmet workers leafletted at Ealing Hospital in west London yesterday and won more support for their demonstration through Hounslow on March 25.

Posters were put up at the Sikh Temple at Park Avenue for the march and they also visited the PCS union branch for Ealing Jobcentre.

‘The union rep Barry said he would definitely be coming on the march with the union banner,’ said locked-out worker Mohinder Virk.

Mohinder said: ‘We also met Chris, the branch secretary at Ealing UNISON, and he said he supports us and that he will raise that his branch will support the locked-out workers who have not signed the deal.

‘He put up our poster in his union office immediately.’

She added: ‘Lots of bus drivers from Greenford said they supported us.’

Brian Nash said: ‘I will be coming on the march in Hounslow on the 25th. I am putting up the poster in the bus garage and will be asking the T&G branch secretary to levy every member to support you.’

Locked-out Gate Gourmet worker Lally said: ‘We are determined to win our dispute.

‘We have done nothing wrong. We urgently need the T&G branches to support us.

‘We do not trust the TGWU union leaders.

‘I, and other locked-out Gate Gourmet workers, keep going to the local union office in Hillingdon to demand our rights.

‘I think it’s disgraceful that they’re trying to stop us picketing. We have to be seen by all the other airport workers to show that we will not give up.’
