HAMAS has called on Palestinians to defend their land, homes and rights by all means available in the face of Israeli demolitions, killings and land seizures across the occupied West Bank.
‘The West Bank is facing killings, Judaization, land grabs, and attempts to displace Palestinians from their villages and towns,’ senior official Abdul-Rahman Shadeed said on Tuesday, urging support for bereaved families and for those whose homes have been destroyed.
His statement followed the destruction of the family home of Farouq Ramadan in the village of Tell, south-west of Nablus, blown up by Israeli forces on Tuesday morning.
Ramadan killed an Israeli officer and a soldier while defending residents during the massacre carried out in the village on 24 July 2026, in which four Palestinian civilians were killed and others wounded. The demolition, Shadeed said, ‘reflects the Israeli occupation’s sadism and its use of various forms of terrorism and collective punishment against the Palestinian people’.
United Nations experts said this week that settler violence and the seizure of Palestinian land in the West Bank are shocking, and that Israel has been allowed to accelerate the settlement policy the International Court of Justice found unlawful in its advisory opinion of 19 July 2024. That opinion also found Israel’s continued presence in the occupied Palestinian territories unlawful and called for it to end as rapidly as possible.
In Gaza, the experts said, Israel killed 160 Palestinians during July, taking the toll since October 2025 past 1,200. They cited the westward shift of the Yellow Line, a 23-kilometre barrier being built along it and the continued destruction of homes as forcibly reshaping the territory’s geography through displacement, condemned attacks on hospitals, shelters and aid workers, and said the genocide is continuing unabated. Food aid is not entering freely.
The statement was signed by several special rapporteurs, among them Francesca Albanese, Sofía Monsalve Suárez, Máriangela Simão, Leopoldo Maldonado Gutiérrez and Morris Tidball-Binz.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said responsibility for the stalled agreement now rests with Israel, which is delaying implementation after progress made by Hamas, and that Doha is pressing for an international response proportionate to Israeli conduct.
