SETTLER attacks on Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank have reached intolerable levels, the UN Human Rights Office has warned.
The office called on Israel to evacuate settlers responsible for violence and land seizure.
Around an outpost established near the town south of Nablus in November 2025, settlers have carried out home invasions, assaults, vandalism, theft and arson, and attacked the local mosque.
In July, they cut off water and electricity to three homes.
On 9 August, they blocked every entrance and pitched a tent between them, trapping about fifteen people including at least two children.
Soldiers at the scene refused to intervene and stopped paramedics, solidarity activists and journalists reaching the families.
Footage showed troops praying alongside the settlers.
The tent was removed on 12 August.
The settlers were not, and were still surrounding the homes on Thursday.
They are acting with the support or acquiescence of Israel, the occupying power, the office said, plainly intending to force the families off their land.
The International Court of Justice has ruled all settlements illegal and required Israel to evacuate settlers, including those intimidating Palestinians in Qusra and Jalud, and end its unlawful presence in the West Bank.
Israeli forces and settlers carried out 2,256 attacks in July, and 11,074 across the first half of 2026.
Settlers attempted 29 new outposts last month across nine governorates.
Israeli forces broke the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement for the 309th consecutive day on Friday, shelling south of al-Bardawil in Rafah and east of Gaza City.
Two Palestinians were killed on Thursday, when warplanes also struck the vehicle of Colonel Jamal Abu Kamil, 43, police chief of Gaza Governorate.
The toll since the ceasefire stands at 1,260 killed and 4,154 injured, with 808 bodies recovered. Since the genocide began on 7 October 2023, 73,389 have been killed.
