HORNSEY and Wood Green WRP candidate Anna Athow was campaigning with her team at Haringey Sixth Form College yesterday.
Amongst the youth who signed up to join the WRP and bought YS papers, News Line spoke to Maryan and Agnes who would like to see a £10 minimum wage and an end to privatisation of the NHS.
‘I also agree with the WRP’s policies about the Middle East,’ Maryan said. Michael, another student, told News Line: ‘I think university education should be free and we need more places to live that are affordable. Young people need to have proper permanent jobs. I would like to see a workers government.’
Helena Raynor who is studying for her A levels said: ‘I don’t want hospitals cut down – I don’t want to pay for health care. £9 grand uni tuition fees is far too much; it should be free. I would support the idea of a workers government.’
