THE SYRIAN government forces are on the cusp of victory! They have liberated the majority of eastern Aleppo and are driving the terrorist forces out.

Syrian troops seized control of Qadi Askar and Karm al-Qaterji yesterday morning, hours after Karm Myassar and Karm al-Tahan were retaken. The key district of Shaar has also been freed by Syrian government forces.

Talks begin this morning between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russia about the withdrawal of all ‘rebel forces’ from Aleppo, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov revealed yesterday. This spells the defeat of the four-year terrorist war, backed and armed by Western powers against the people and elected government of Syria.

Lavrov said: ‘During the Russian-American consultations concrete routes and timing of the withdrawal of all militants from eastern Aleppo will be discussed. Once we reach an agreement, a ceasefire will be put in place.’

The Russian foreign minister added that any armed group that refuses to leave Aleppo will be treated by Russia as terrorists, adding that Moscow will support the Syrian Army’s operations against them.

The proposal by Kerry was made on Saturday, after he and Lavrov met in Rome.

Lavrov warned that Russia would not support a draft UN resolution imposing a new ceasefire in Aleppo. He said: ‘Taking into consideration the outcome of the previous pauses in the conflict, there is absolutely no doubt that the 10-day ceasefire, which backers of the draft resolution generously want to provide the militants with, would surely be used for regrouping and rearming the extremists and would slow down the liberation of eastern Aleppo from them.’

On Monday, the terrorists holed up in Aleppo said that they have no plans to leave the city. Abu Abdel Rahman Al-Hamawi from the Jaysh Al-Islam terrorist group said that they ‘would fight… until the last drop of blood.’

Meanwhile yesterday, between 12:21 and 12:30pm Syrian time, a medical centre of the Russian Defence Ministry’s mobile hospital in Aleppo was shelled by the terrorists.

Chief of Russian Ministry of Defence, Major General Igor Konashenkov said yesterday ‘as a result of the direct hit of the reception ward, one female Russian military medic was killed and two medical specialists were severely injured.’

Some local residents attending medical appointments were also injured during the shelling that targeted one of the field hospitals set up in the government held part of the city, the Ministry added. The Russian Defence Ministry attributes the blame for the incident to ‘terrorists and their patrons in the US, the UK and France.

‘It is beyond doubt that the shelling was conducted by the “opposition militants”. Moscow knows who gave these militants the coordinates of the Russian hospital right at the moment when it started working.’
