THE ceasefire in Gaza was violated for the 321st consecutive day on Wednesday, as Israeli forces killed a Palestinian civilian in a drone strike on al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, and struck homes across the Strip.
A pregnant woman in her sixth month was injured when Israeli aircraft bombed a house in Jabalia al-Nazla in northern Gaza.
Another civilian was wounded by heavy fire from Israeli armoured vehicles east of Hamad City, north of Khan Younis. Shelling, shooting and demolitions were reported across Gaza through the day.
At least 1,303 Palestinians have been killed and 4,336 injured since the ceasefire took effect on 10 October 2025. The health ministry said on Wednesday that the death toll from the genocidal war has reached 73,438 with 174,447 wounded.
Hospitals received five bodies and ten wounded over the previous 24 hours, and two people died of injuries sustained in earlier attacks.
In the West Bank, Israeli forces raided homes across Jenin, al-Khalil, Nablus and Tulkarm, seizing a young man in Kufeirat and three more in Silat al-Harithiya.
The Red Crescent said a woman and a young girl were shot during a raid in Yatta. Troops escorted busloads of settlers to Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus.
Three families in Jabel Ras al-Ain, Qusra, south of Nablus, entered an 18th day besieged by settlers, with Israeli forces blocking the access roads.
Settlers have taken control of the local water sources and are preventing food, water and infant formula from reaching the homes. Internet service has been cut off.
Abdul-Karim Hassan, whose children are among the besieged, phones them more than ten times a day and climbs a neighbouring hill each morning to watch the houses.
‘They are forbidden from going outside or opening doors and windows. They can hardly breathe. They are living in a prison,’ he said.
Hamas condemned Israel’s approval on Tuesday of 18 new settlement ‘influence areas’ in the West Bank, saying the annexations are intended to depopulate Palestinian areas and turn them into isolated enclaves, and called on the international community to move beyond rhetoric and enforce international law.
Israeli forces escalated across southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening, with airstrikes on Sarbin, artillery fire along the Litani River and demolitions in Houla.
Drones flew at low altitude over Beirut. In Gaza, the private transport association warned that the continued Israeli ban on spare parts and engine oil threatens to paralyse the sector.
Its head, Nahid Shahiber, said minor faults now put trucks permanently out of service.
