HEZBOLLAH Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, said yesterday that Israel had raided the Syrian capital’s suburbs because it had a number of targets; one of them was getting Syria out of the conflict with it and besieging the resistance.
Nasrallah added: ‘The Syrian first response was telling Israel that it will give weapons to the resistance.
‘The second one was that Syria will give the resistance a special weapon which it has never received before.’
Nasrallah added that the third response was that Syria had opened the Golan front and shifted the threat into an opportunity while the fourth response was that the orders were given to soldiers to respond to any future aggression without returning to the leadership.
The Hezbollah leader wondered ‘who dares among the Arab regimes to do other than what the regime in Syria has done.’
He affirmed that Syria has a strong leadership which ‘runs the war against the enemy with solid nerves and great wisdom and this will achieve victory in the near future’.
Nasrallah declared: ‘As Syria has stood by the Lebanese people and supported the resistance till liberating South Lebanon, we announce that we stand by the Syrian popular resistance in order to liberate the Syrian Golan.’
Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Muqdad said on Thursday: ‘The instruction has been made to respond immediately to any new Israeli attack without the need for any additional instruction from any higher leadership, and our retaliation will be strong and will be painful against Israel.’
