MISH’AN al-Juburi, director of the Al-Ra’y Satellite Channel, has said that Libyan leader Muammar al-Gadaffi is still in Libya fighting side by side with his forces on the ground against the NATO forces and Libyan rebels.
He also said that he is in direct contact with Al-Gadaffi and that he last contacted him at noon today, Monday September 12.
He added: ‘I am still in contact with Libyan leader Muammar Al-Gadaffi.
‘To those who do not know him, I say he is not the kind of man who would give up.
‘I last contacted him before noon today. He dictated a statement to me to air on Al-Ra’y channel, in which he stressed his rejection of the oil agreement signed by the TNC with France, and spoke to me in his capacity as the legitimate leader of Libya, and said he will continue to fight until he liberates his country or is martyred.’
He added: ‘I will surprise people with footage that shows Colonel Al-Gadaffi fighting at the forefront with his forces against the NATO and the rebels.
‘He is not hiding somewhere in Libya; he is fighting on the ground, and we will show that via footage for the first time.’
Al-Juburi also said that Al-Gadaffi speaks with great confidence for the future.
‘He spoke to me with great confidence for the future and said that he will liberate Libya from the NATO forces and the rebels, who came with them.’
He also said that the majority of Arab and Berber Libyan tribes supported Al-Gadaffi.
