PCS members at the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) began their two-day strike for the London Living Wage at 3.00pm on Wednesday.

TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady joined the picket line yesterday morning and said: ‘Solidarity with outsourced PCS union members at BEIS, striking today for decent pay. The department should lead by example, bring contracts back in-house and pay all workers a real living wage.’
One of the strikers, Kate Ainscow, told News Line: ‘There has been an enthusiastic support for this strike and members of the public passing our picket line supported our cause. We will be taking action again on February 26th and will be marching from SOAS to Parliament Square.’
