ONE of Opus Dei’s members in the Labour Cabinet, Ruth Kelly, yesterday made a call to close down Muslim schools that promote ‘isolationism’.
Opus Dei is the reactionary Catholic secret group that seeks to drag society backwards towards the ‘glory’ of the Catholic Church’s feudal past, which was shattered by the Reformation, the execution of Charles I, and the forced emigration of James II.
At the same time, news has been released that before he departed for his summer holidays, Prime Minister Blair attended a private mass, officiated over by a Franciscan monk, a Father Seed, at 10 Downing Street. The forces of open counter-revolution are gathering.
Following her recent announcement that the era of multi-culturalism in Britain was over, and that there were non-negotiable rules that all would have to obey without question, Kelly’s latest pronouncement carries more than a whiff of the crusader about it.
Kelly said that the government had to ‘stamp out’ Muslim schools which were trying to change British society to fit Islamic values.
She cried that ‘They should be shut down’, and that ‘Different institutions are open to abuse and where we find abuse we have got to stamp it out and prevent that happening.’
The image of Opus Dei stamping on ‘uppity’ Muslims is as old as the inquisition itself.
Kelly hates not only Islam, she hates revolution.
She said: ‘Most Muslims would call those terrorists who would undermine the fabric of this society as not true Muslims but revolutionaries who are cowering under the cloak of Islam.’
That Islamists who want to see a worldwide Caliphate are not in any sense revolutionaries is rather well known. The leaders of the trend are essentially trying to recreate a world that vanished centuries ago.
In fact, they are rather like the Catholic Church in that respect, with its vision of a one holy church, topped by a Pope who cannot err on matters of faith and morals, and to which monarchs and all other earthly institutions were subject in feudal Europe.
Her use of the word ‘revolutionaries’ is important. It expresses the essence of the radicalisation of not just Muslim youth, but all youth, who know that society cannot be taken backwards to past ages, but that capitalism and imperialism must be smashed, so that society can go forward.
Going forward means overthrowing capitalism and imperialism and establishing world socialism.
This is the real evil that Kelly, the Catholic Church, the Blair cabinet and the Labour government are fighting.
As Kelly says: ‘The bottom line is, if they are glorifying terrorism, if they are criminals, if they are breaking the law in this country then they should be arrested and dealt with appropriately.’
She is saying that all those who support (glorify) the Iraqi resistance to imperialism, the Palestinian revolution, and the resistance to Israeli expansionism in the Lebanon, are criminals who should be arrested and dealt with appropriately.
She did not say dealt with according to the law, so we will have to make what we can of the term ‘appropriately’.
But what we can say is that millions of British people, born and bred in this country, are opposed to the imperialist assault on the Middle East and ‘glorify’ the resistance to it, and have marched against it again and again to prove the point.
Presumably they will also have to be dealt with ‘appropriately’. The News Line says that it is capitalism and imperialism that has to be dealt with appropriately, and we are delighted to spell out what we mean.
We mean through socialist revolutions and the victory of the world socialist revolution.
