THERE was a crowd of over 50 people outside Woolwich Crown court demonstrating in solidarity with the Filton 25 yesterday.
The court is considering in private the cases of six of the Filton 25, Qesser Zuhrah, Liam Mulany Heba Muraisi Kamran Ahmed, Moiz Ibrahim and Zahra Farooque.
Qesser told the News Line that there were procedurals being considered in court today.
‘This was the first trial after 15 months in prison on remand and it was nearly two years after the arrests for the action against Elbit on 6th August 2024.
‘They were locked up between November 2024 and February 2026 and they did the hunger strike and came out on bail with tags.’
One of the Filton 25, who is not currently on trial, Harland Archer said: ‘Today we are still outside the very same court where they called the Filton 25 terrorists.
‘This is the fourth time we are here; twice the jury have refused to convict.
‘When they are in these you know we have come to put Elbit on trial. Elbit has politicised against humanity.
‘The police and the courts should put Elbit on trial and bring them to justice.
‘Our taxes pay for this slaughter. When we are behind bars we write poems and love each. Free Palestine Free the Filton 25.’
Demonstrator Cath said: ‘Yes we should have a national general strike to support Palestinians until this genocide is ended. Late stage capitalism means that young people can’t live a normal life; we had free education and we had grants.
‘My kids have got £60,000 of debt. They’re stressed out. We applaud these brave young people, the Filton 25.’
Zoey Hinchcliffe who is in the Filton 25 but not on trial said: ‘I had 18 months in prison two trial and I was acquitted, the Filton 25 are being dealt with in batches.
‘For example Heba has been in prison for 15 months. They have now got a new judge who is not Johnson.
‘This trial is an injustice and should be thrown out. The real criminals are Elbit. If the government refuses to stop the flow of weapons to Israel, systems and the British government, then it becomes the duty of ordinary citizens in the UK including workers in trade unions to get it stopped instead.’
