‘THE working class is tired of listening to the lies put forward by the ruling class politicians,’ said Workers Revolutionary Party candidate Gabriel Polley, at the PCS union’s election hustings in Norwich South on Monday evening.

He added that the working class knows ‘that the ruling class is only interested in maintaining their position, and to do that they’ll have to make cuts and really fight the working class and destroy the gains the working class has made over the last generations’.

But he continued: ‘The working class refuses to accept these cuts and they know that socialism is the only way forwards.

‘The state is bankrupt as are the capitalist politicians. They have no new ideas about how to defend jobs and keep public services. The only way that we can keep public services open is a revolution and a workers state.’

After the meeting Polley told News Line: ‘I think the reaction tonight shows that people are really listening to socialist policies.

‘They know that the Workers Revolutionary Party is the only alternative and there is no difference between what all the bourgeois parties are saying.

‘They all want to fight the working class and destroy public services which we fought for in this country.

‘Workers are ready to listen to socialist policies. What we really need to do now is get our policies out there because we know that people are ready to listen and are enthusiastic.’
