May Finished!

Tory Prime Minister May has been finished off by Brexit

PM MAY is to meet with Graham Brady, chairman of the 1922 Committee of backbench MPs, to agree a timetable for her departure as prime minister after a vote on the Withdrawal Agreement Bill in the week of June 3rd.

‘The prime minister is determined to secure our departure from the European Union and is devoting her efforts to securing the second reading of the Withdrawal Agreement Bill in the week commencing June 3rd,’ Brady said.

‘We have agreed that she and I will meet following the second reading of the Bill to agree a timetable for the election of a new leader of the Conservative and Unionist Party.’

Brady was asked: ‘If the Withdrawal Bill does not pass, do you expect the prime minister to tender her immediate resignation?’

He replied: ‘We agreed to meet to decide a time table for the election for the new leader of the Conservative Party as soon as the Second Reading has occurred and that will take place regardless of what the vote is, or whether it passes or whether it fails.

‘We will have greater clarity about the timetable which will be agreed for the election of a new leader of the Conservative Party.

‘We had a very frank exchange with the prime minister.

‘We have reached an agreement, and the statement that I have given you reflects the shared agreement between the prime minister and the parliamentary party.’
